San Sebastian Day 3

Today was our most eventful day here. No siestas! The most important part was our journey to the Sanctuario de Liola. Mark has been wanting to visit St. Ignatius Loyola's birthplace and the place of his conversion. He is really interested in his life and the Jesuit lifestyle. Lucky for us, it is in Spain and not too far from San Sebastian. We took a short bus ride (in a cool double decker bus).

We went back to Ogi Berry for breakfast. Look at all that deliciousness! Made it very hard to pick!

I chose a custard pastry and croissant.

The Basilica

The Chapel of Conversion. This was St. Ignatius' Room. He got hurt in a battle and had to recooperate here. After reading several books about Jesus, he "surrendered to God". That is what the translation is for the sign above. This was a very special moment for Markie.

Inside the basilica. It is BEAUTIFUL in here. We were just in time for mass, but it was in Basque. Couldn't understand a thing, so we left. :/

On the bus ride back, these kids came on the bus. One of them had MAJOR B.O. that stank up the whole bus. I am not exaggerating!! We were dying. So Mark decided to put sunscreen under his nostrils in hopes to not smell the b.o. hahahahaha! Lucky for us, the kid got off the bus. :)
